William York is co-founder Chief Technology Officer of Comergent Technologies, an enterprise software company. Comergent provides high-end eBusiness software to customers such as Cisco, Intel, Best Buy and DuPont.
Prior to Comergent he was a co-fouunder of Inxight, a company spun out of Xerox PARC to commercialize information retrieval and visualization technologies developed at the lab. While at PARC he worked for Stu Card in the User Interface Research group on advanced web visualization technologies including the Web Forager. He was a co-author of papers on this research and received two patents as a result of the work.
