Ph.D.

Bernhard Preim is a specialist for visualization and human-computer interaction in particular with respect to medical applications such as diagnosis, treatment planning, intraoperative support and medical training. He directed several projects in that area first at Fraunhofer MEVIS and since 2003 at the University of Magdeburg. Within HCI, he is specialized on 3D interaction techniques, 3D input devices, scenario-based user interface design and interface guidelines for surgical applications. He teaches basic and advanced HCI courses and authored two German textbooks on Interactive Systems.
