This talk is for designers who want to develop or strengthen their understanding of how Design Thinking, Agile and Lean UX connect, differ, and work together in theory and practice. We’re delighted to return to share a case study from a 2022–2023 project, map it to the design thinking process, and offer practical tools you can use in your team. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of these processes, their application in the business world, and practical examples that can be applied in most environments. Our goal is to help you develop the confidence to advocate for UX and make meaningful contributions.

About the speakers
Vicka Petrishko and Caitie Boeyens
Design entrepreneurs and recovering imposters

Vicka is the founder of Leanseed, a young company specialising in human-centred business consulting. She works with teams and organisations to improve their effectiveness and create meaningful, impactful outcomes. Her career spans 22 years in web, digital, eLearning, user experience, systems, process, and business design.

Caitie is a multidisciplinary designer with a background in product design, project management, and software development. After years of managing junior designers and developers, she chose to return to hands-on design work, focusing on UX design.

Vicka and Caitie collaborate on multiple projects and are passionate about helping new designers find their feet, build confidence, and grow the soft skills that make a real difference in the workplace. They’ll share what they’ve learned from applying theory to real-world projects, where processes don’t always follow the textbook.
