Dr Samuel Chindaro was born in Chinhoyi. He went to Chinhoyi Primary School and Chinhoyi High School. Dr Chindaro studied for a B. Eng. Hons degree in Electronic Engineering at the National University of Science and Technology (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe). He worked as a Project Engineer for CADTEK Engineering before obtaining a UN scholarship to study in the UK. He obtainined an MSc in Electronics and IT from the University of Birmingham, and a PhD in Electronics (specialising in Computer Vision and Image Processing) from the University of Kent. He has since worked on several UK and EU projects at Kent ranging from Computer Aided Diagnosis of Neglect, Multiple Classifier Systems and Biometrics. He is currently an Honarary Research Associate at the Department of Engineering and Digital Arts at the University of Kent.He has published more than 20 papers in his subject area.
