Meet-Up Details

Hey everyone,

We have an exciting topic for us as designers to really ponder about and reflect on when we think about user engagement!!!

How much engagement is too much engagement?

How do I stand up against bad engagement practices at my organization?

How can I educate people about these bad practices?

These are some of the questions we hope to find the answers to in the next meetup

We meet every 2 weeks to interact with one another in the design community to learn and grow!

You can join our online discord community by clicking the link below:

Looking forward to seeing you there! :)

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Where do we draw the line with user engagement? held on Apr 17, 2021. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hey fellow designers. I truly believe in less is more.

If your product perfectly solves the needs of users (your TG) even though the engagement is less/none, your product is still a winner. Having said that, adding any kind of engagement to your product is a smart way to make your user explore your product.

Your product engagement should not elevate to a point where it confuses the user, resulting in the user dropping off from your product.

Hi trying to join the Google meeting, waiting for host to admit

Hi can someone let me know if the session has been cancelled?

Hello team. The discord community link provided says Invalid invite. Do we have any other link to join for the disscussion?

There is google meet link that you get on mail as an invite. Discord is for joining the discord community only is what I think

But I am also waiting for the host to admit me.

Hi please update if the session has been canceled. Thanks

Hi all!

I'm extremely sorry to have kept everyone waiting!

There was an unavoidable emergency and I could not communicate in time about the cancellation!

I would like to apologise for the inconvenience cause by this and will make sure we are able to reschedule this for tomorrow!

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
