Hello Johannesburg

I am a complete newbie to UX design having started my first course today - YIKES!

My weeks are split between Pretoria East and Johannesburg (Linden Area). And so I would like to connect with both groups.

I am in Johannesburg on the 14th and would love to meet anyone and everyone over lunch or coffee to chat and learn about this thing that excites me so - UX.

The meet-up will be quite informal, based on discussion rather than a set agenda. However, I will be bringing with me a few questions that touch on the mindset of a UX designer.

Warm welcome to the newbies.

You did good by joining the IxDF as UX is the "new MBA" thinking and you will see your businessIQ develop as you do more and more of the courses on the platform.

In SA we are also putting in a big effort to expand UX footprint into every industry and are using this to create new areas where UX can be applied e.g. HealthUX (see Medical Futurist) AgriUX ( AgroForestry & Regenerative Farming) , EnviroUX(Permaculture & UX) , FinUX (see Alpha Code- Jhb) .

A warm hello to all!

I have updated the meeting details - please have a look. As stated in the new description this meet-up will be quite informal. Although I do have a few questions I would like to ask during the meet-up. These questions aren't really about anything technical but rather touch on the mindset one needs to cultivate to be successful in this field.

If you feel there is something you would like to do at/add to the meet-up please let me know. I am a big fan of collaboration.
