Facilitation techniques for complex stakeholder groups

When it comes to tough product decisions or alignment of diverse opinions, design thinking workshops are one of the most effective methods, especially in the era of remote. However, in practice, product teams often avoid this type of activity - because of complex group dynamics or misalignment of stakeholder expectations.

In this talk we'll review typical challenges in workshop facilitation, discuss techniques to avoid pitfalls, and learn how to prepare the structure and agenda for effective co-creation.

Agenda:

18:05- Welcome & Introductions (Chez)

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
