Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Manchester, let's meet up, explore design exercises and network over coffee and tea!

We've been receiving requests of having a meet up over the weekend, so here's hoping to see new faces that day. We start at 11am - not too early on a Saturday morning and not too late that it disrupts your weekend plans! :)

What to expect:

  • We'll show everyone "how to draw toast" - a simple way to capture someone's understanding
  • We'll go around and share what exercises others do at their places of work
  • We'll have time to ask "what exercise should I use for this situation?" and "what is this exercise good for?"
  • Time to network and share any other UX secrets!

The Venue:

Zifferblat is a "pay per minute" model - you have unlimited hot drinks and snacks for 8p per minute. This is £4.80 per hour.

Lost?

If you get lost, you can DM Chuck on Twitter (https://twitter.com/chuckwired) or find Charlene.

It's going to be an informal, cozy meet-up with fellow UXers - beginners, switchers, experts - so don't be shy and come along!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Weekend Workout: Design Exercises held on Aug 17, 2019. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hello! How’s everyone? Ready for your workout next weekend? :)

To make sure we have a productive workout, if everyone could please think about design exercises that you practice in your company or that you know and would be willing to share with our community. If you haven’t done any, no problem! This will be a great time to learn from others who are already in the field.

If you have any questions before the session on Saturday, please give us a shout out! See you all soon!

Hi all, My name is Mo and im new to IxDF. Look forward to meeting you all on Saturday. How does the pricing work? Do we need to buy tickets or do we pay on the day?

Thanks

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
