Let’s chat about Psychology and UX!

Much in the field of User Experience Design is influenced by other, older disciplines. One discipline with perhaps the most influence is Cognitive Psychology; the study of sensory inputs, internal processes and output behaviors. The way humans cognitively process information has direct impacts to the way we accommodate shortcomings or natural bias through design.

In this webinar, we’ll unpack this relationship more so that you have the fundamental tools from psychology to aid in your decision making as a designer.

Thanks Devin, looking forward to the Webinar

I missed this webinar last night. Is there a recording I can view?

Following!

Thank you Devin. The webinar was informative and I appreciated you focused on the subject in interaction design perspective.

I studied psychology in college and graduate school. what I’ve realized as I study and explore interaction design field, it’s embedded in our daily life as psychology is.

I enjoyed the application of cognitive psychology on interaction designs and how designers can help users to minimize cognitive effort with better understanding of cognitive processes and biases.

Question: can I have an access to yesterday’s webinar recording? I like to review it. Thanks. 😊 🙏🏼

Meetup attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meetup by clicking “Attend this meetup” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meetups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meetup (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meetups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
