Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Washington, let's meet up and network over coffee! Share UX design insights and resources, discuss UX problems you are facing now, or just chat about anything else. It's going to be an informal, cozy meet-up with fellow designers!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Washington DC USA - User Experience Meetup held on Mar 5, 2020. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Shams, this is coming up quickly. Are you still planning on holding it? If so, can you please provide the details about the event including where it will be held and what time?

Do we have a place and time?

Did I miss an announcement about place and time?

Same here...place and time would be nice to know. Thanks.

To everyone hoping to attend tomorrow: This looks like an in-person casual talk-over-coffee meetup in the D.C. area. This may seem like a strange question but most of you live in somewhat disparate areas (including one from Florida!).

Can you post a note here if you can actually attend this event tomorrow. Include:

- What region around D.C. would make this meetup possible for you

- What time ranges would make this possible for you

- Any limitations.

I haven't heard from Shams but am happy to support this meetup personally if there are enough folks willing to make it to the same location / locations.

I would like to come, and am in Bethesda. Daytime is better, as I have a previous commitment in the evening.

Sharon. Thank you for the reply! I’m not sure that a two person coffee meetup is desirable for others but I’m happy to potentially meet earlier in the day to talk shop. I’m down in Alexandria but can find my way to a central spot. Is there anything you are burning to talk about?

all. As a formal meetup It doesn’t seem like this is moving forward. If details solidify I will post them here for everyone. Feel free to setup your own for tomorrow or any other day if you’d like to see this come together. Apologies for the scheduling challenges

Hi Matthew, I am in the DC area also. Evening or daytime can work. A location downtown would be great.

I work in downtown DC. I'm metro accessible only. Evening works.

Please log in or join us to post comments in the discussion.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
