Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss UX Newbie Meet-up Melbourne held on Aug 29, 2020. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

This will be the 3rd Meeting advertised here without a Zoom URL or other form of online meeting. Who is owning this meet up?

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your note and for your patience! I will be adding the zoom meet link to the event today.

Many thanks,

Becky

Hello Becky, there is still no time or URL for the meeting. I'm not a Newbie, but I thought I could help the Newbies out.

Hi everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

I'm hoping this is an interactive, introductory session so we can get to know one another and chat about wins and challenges on our journey to becoming designers.

I am a student in a Design Course at the moment and working on my first project so I'll start by introducing myself and what I hope to get out of a network like this and want to hear from you all about your own experiences.

Talk soon,

Becky

Thanks Becky clicked on the link and mentioned that is 4am tonight? Is anyone on the link?

Same here. Cannot join. I tried emailing Rebecca.

Hi all, having technically difficulties with zoom. Please bear with me.

Hey all - meeting is live!

Please use the linkhttps://us04web.zoom.us/j/72963101576?pwd=bEhSc2kv...

Sorry again for the confusion, I'm not sure why the scheduled time is showing as 3am/4am....

I missed this meeting by about 2 weeks because I've only just signed up today, but looking forward to the next one!

Can't wait!!

I missed this one too- but count me in for the next one!

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
