What are Local Groups?
Local Groups will expand your career network—whether you are interested in learning new skills, finding job opportunities or looking for a new employee.
A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Philadelphia, let's meet up and network over coffee! Share UX design insights and resources, discuss UX problems you are facing now, or just chat about anything else. It's going to be an informal, cozy meet-up with fellow designers!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Old City UX Meetup held on Oct 2, 2020.

We'll be practicing appropriate social distancing. There will be wine and coffee provided.

I am just starting my career transition as I know some of you are as well. I would love to get to know the UX community in and around Philly, network, hear your stories, and pick some brains. Hopefully we can all leave having made some new connections.

Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi all! I won't be able to attend, but wanted to share info on PhillyCHI, another local UX group. PhillyCHI has been around 15 years, and is one of the strongest UX communities in the city. I was referred to them early on in my journey, and was able to learn new skills and meet lots of people who helped me transition into UX. I highly recommend it as a way to network, learn more about UX, local companies and job openings. Full disclosure - I served on the board for 3 years :) https://www.phillychi.acm.org/

I will check this out. Thank you!

Hey Seth, will this meetup be at 5pm on Friday?

Yes it will!

Thanks Seth

Great meeting you last night Matt!

Hey! You too Seth! Thanks for putting that together. I will stay in touch.

Looks like I just missed this. New to IxDF, and new to UX. Looking to transition my career, coming from a graphic design professional background and industrial design education background. I'll look forward to the next meet up :-)

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
