What are Local Groups?
Local Groups will expand your career network—whether you are interested in learning new skills, finding job opportunities or looking for a new employee.
A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

Our November monthly meeting will be on Monday, November 18. These are cozy, informal events which are excellent opportunities to network with people in our local community. These attract a wide range of designers, researchers, and those who are just starting out in UX.

Based on suggestions at a past events, we are going to add an informal workshopping component to the meetup (I like to think of it as “show and tell”). We'll have opportunities for folks to informally share their design work and solicit feedback from the group. If you're interested in sharing, please post to the message board or email me.

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss November Coffee + UX Meetup held on Nov 18, 2019. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hello, I'm new to IxDF. I'm teaching at Plymouth State University just north. Hope to engage with some or all of you in the future.

Hello Everyone,

Update: This meeting is now going to happen at the Cafe Nero in downtown Boston.

Capital One let me know that they are changing their hours and have canceled our reservation for the meeting room. It's been nice to use that space for the past few months, but now we need to move to someplace new. For the Nov 18 meetup, we'll go back to Cafe Nero, where we had a couple of great meetups last year.

Let me know if you have questions or suggestions for a new place to start holding these meetups.

Best, Kevin

Just to confirm - this is the Caffe Nero on Washington St or Summer St?

Good question!

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
