Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Dublin, let's meet online and discuss UX! In our video call, let's get to know each other and share UX problems we’re facing and discuss how we can solve them. Save the date, grab your laptop (or phone!), and let’s see each other online!

I am currently transitioning into a new career path and would like hear others story of their paths!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss IxDF ONLINE HANGOUT held on Dec 3, 2019. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi @conor and everyone! I am new to IxDF since yesterday, and am doing the Emotional Design course right now, super interesting! Looking forward to connecting with you all soon :)

Hello Conor and the rest! I've been to IxDF for a couple of month, and are taking the first steps to change careers to UX design. I've never participated in a meet-up, but I would love to join this one.

Two things though: First of all, I don't live in Dublin (I'm Swedish but I live in Spain at the moment) but my family and I have started to plant the seed of moving back to Dublin (my wife and I lived there before). Is it still OK to join the meet-up?

Secondly, how do you go about, technically, in a meet-up like this? Skype, or any other video conference tools?

Cheers and see you all soon!

Hi @conor just wondering how we connect online for tonights meetup? Is there a Google Hangout? Thanks Clare.

I'm wondering the same...

Hi all,

Is it possible to share the conference meeting?
I have created an secondary conference for someone that has problems to join the call.

Thanks

Hi Daniel,

I'm trying to connect to your hangout session.

I didnt find any link for the meeting, so I took the initiative to create a online meeting.
For someone interested to join please click in the link bellow. Best regards, Daniel

I have to run, and that link wasn't a hangout it was trying to open Skype which I don't have. So i'll have to leave it for this meetup. Next time :)

Hi All,

I missed the online hangout on Dec3, is there any possibility for a physical meet-up?

Thanks!

Its a very good idea. We can discuss this topic on the next online meeting.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
