Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss IxDF Chicago Study Group held on Aug 6, 2019. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

With apologies I am not going to be able to make it to the session. If there is a way to get the agenda and skype in for a portion of it, so I can work along side those attending, please let me know.

Hi Ipsita,

This is a study group to complete classes you've enrolled in through IxDF. Since we're all enrolled in different classes, we won't be hosting a Skype or have an agenda other than show up, meet the group and get to work. If you are not able to make it to the study group, feel free to use this as an accountability time slot to complete your coursework. Due to the amount of reading involved in the coursework, we wouldn't be able to run a live course since everyone reads and completes the materials at their own pace.

This is in the document, but pasting it here as well: This is an accountability group to make time to complete IxDF coursework in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Be sure to bring your headphones and laptop as we will be completing our respective courses at our own individual pace.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
