A Local Group is a group of people who, like you, are passionate about design. Local Groups organize meetings to get inspired, have fun and learn from one another.

Meet-Up Details

We have an exciting opportunity to learn about content strategy from an industry expert. Kate Johnson is a web marketing manager at the Daniels College of Business, adjunct faculty in communication management at the University of Denver, and content strategy consultant.

Before joining the business college, Kate worked for two years as an independent content strategist, editor, and writer. She also worked tirelessly for 11 years as the content strategist at the university of Denver, where she planned, created, and maintained content for the University's website and other digital properties.

Kate has developed a set of processes and documentation to help campus units build excellent site content, and maintained the campus wide community in training for writing and content strategy specific to the web. She has spoken at local, national, and international conferences including HighEdWeb, EduWeb, and sat on numerous content strategy forums.

Save the date for this unique and exciting opportunity, grab your laptop (or phone!), and let's get together online!

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
