Meet-Up Details

Dark patterns are deceptive design techniques used in user interfaces to manipulate and influence users into taking actions they might not have intended. These patterns exploit cognitive biases and human behaviour, often leading individuals to make decisions that benefit the website or platform, rather than the user. They raise ethical concerns, as they prioritise business goals over user well-being and informed choices.

Our speaker Parameswaran S,  UX Designer will be talking to us about dark patterns in UX.
