Meetup Details

At the request of Jennifer Swett Chrisman, I'm rescheduling this coffee meetup for May. It turns out that IxDF San Francisco will gather on April 13 in San Francisco. Speaker Mike Tschudy is scheduled to speak as part of the group's "Design for Change Series."

Hope to see you in May in Menlo Park!

Meetup Conversation

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss Coffee Meetup held on Apr 11, 2018. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi all,
really excited to join IDF community!
I'm planning on attending the upcoming meetup but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it by 3.30 pm. Is 4.30 pm still okay to show up?

Looking forward to making new connections!

Hello Tamara! I'm looking forward to meeting you. I'm rescheduling the event for May, so that it doesn't draw attention away from an April 13 "Design for Change" event with a scheduled speaker. This event is also hosted by IxDF San Francisco. If I don't see you there, I hope to see you in May in Menlo Park!

Hey hi,

I am a Graphic designer and totally new to UX design, I am planning to attend the upcoming meet up... Whats the agenda of this meet up? Any special topics, because I am totally new to this concept.

Thank you

Hello Shruti! I'm rescheduling this event for May, so that it does not draw attention away from an April 13 "Design for Change" event organized by IDF San Francisco.

The good news is this delay will allow for more time to think of an agenda that will be useful and attractive to our community. Are there special topics that you're interested in discussing? lmk

I look forward to meeting you in Menlo Park in May!

Hi IxDF SF is hosting an IxDF meetup at CCA on Friday the 13th 6 PM for snacks and networking. Talk starts at 6:30. Would like to propose merging the Menlo Park Coffee meetup into the meetup on Friday in SF.

Would love to know what are the "Best Practices for UX Designers."

Great! Please let me know what other topics interest you. Looking forward to meeting you in Menlo Park in May!

Hi Crisillia, Please reschedule for May (any day except May 24th). Hope to see you Friday, April 13th at 6 PM at the Design for Change Lecture at California College of the Arts. Thank you!

I would like to schedule a mee-tup for the east bay - are there any east bay folks here that want to participate?

Hi, I just joined this community from Menlo Park, so I am very interested in local future events!

Please log in or join us to post comments in the conversation.

Meetup attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meetup by clicking “Attend this meetup” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meetups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meetup (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meetups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
