Meet-Up Details

Hi IxDF Seattle! I'm really excited to present our next guest speaker meetup featuring Federico Pizzutto.

Federico is the Local Leader in Luxembourg as well as an IxDF Design League Coach. He has 20 years of experience in UX and product management.

Federico will speak about how to land your first UX designer role by thinking and acting like a Senior UX Designer. And more importantly, how to keep that role!

Join us!

Federico's presentation will last approximately 45 minutes with 15 minutes left for Q&A. The remaining hour will be open for any other topics you'd like to discuss.

Finally, and this is VERY important, please do not commit unless you are 100% certain you can attend! We've had numerous meetups with poor attendance compared to those committed, and it affects the meetings. Remember, empathy for your users (the rest of the attendees). See you soon!

Meet-Up Discussion

Hi all! Please use this discussion thread to discuss 2020 Guest Speaker Series featuring Federico Pizzutto held on Oct 1, 2020. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hey Shane,

Thanks for organizing this. With this being in the middle of my work day it may be tricky for me to join. Would this be recorded by chance?

Thank you,

Stephanie

Excellent question! Let me ask Federico if he's okay with that and post his answer!

Per Federico, it's okay to record the meetup. That said (and this is for everybody), please plan on attending if you are able. An interactive discussion is much more valuable than a recorded presentation :)

hey Shane, thank you for the update! I agree that an interactive discussion is better than a recorded one. Thanks again for organizing

Hi Shane, thanks for organizing the meetup. I'm glad a recording will be available. If we cannot attend the meetup, where do we go to view the recording? Cheers!

Hi all - if you'd like to watch the recording, you may do so here:

Please note that we had technical difficulties regarding screen sharing and Federico had to present his slides using Google. And, participants had to be logged into both to see & hear. Knowing this, if you'd still like to watch and have access to the slides, send me an email: shanemassey.idf@gmail.com and I'll send you the slide deck. The slide portion was not recorded.

Please log in or join us to post comments in the discussion.

Meet-up attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meet-up by clicking “Attend this meet-up” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meet-ups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meet-up (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meet-ups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
