Good morning Eve, thank you for the update! I appreciate your commitment to keeping the IxDF Kampala community active and consistent. I'm okay with postponing the meetup, and Friday, 23rd May sounds like a great option. Let’s all pitch in to make it a fruitful and engaging session. Looking forward to connecting and growing together!

Blessings,

Alzargani

Good morning, how are you IxDF Kampala? unfortunately, we might need to postpone the meetup. May we suggest when we should have it? I have proposed next Frida 23rd, May - Lets actively participate and make it work for a consistent monthly meetup. Blessings Eve β€οΈπŸ˜πŸ’•

I want you all to propose a meeting place, we agree, and then we proceed.

Hi Evelyn,

Thank you for proposing these thoughtful and exciting topics!

I’m particularly enthusiastic about exploring "Designing Intuitive or Habit-Forming Health AI Systems." It’s such a vital area, especially as we aim to enhance long-term user engagement and create sustainable impact. Applying this concept specifically to Uganda’s current health information system could make the discussion even more practical and grounded in real-world challenges.

I’m happy to proceed with either option, though I’m slightly leaning toward focusing on Uganda’s system, as it could allow us to develop actionable recommendations and possibly spark future collaborations.

On a personal note, I would like to share that I’m still relatively new to UX design and very eager to learn. I suggested this topic because I believe it will deepen my understanding and help me build essential skills for my future as a UX designer.

I’m especially interested in learning how to better empathize with users β€” truly understanding their needs, feelings, and challenges so we can design solutions that fit seamlessly into their lives. I would also love to explore aspects of visual design, particularly how to effectively choose and apply colors to create appealing, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces, especially for websites and health systems.

I believe gaining deeper skills in both empathy and visual design will be essential for my growth, and I’m excited to learn and share ideas with all of you.

Looking forward to our discussion!

Best regards,

Alzargani

https://www.interaction-design.org/master-classes/hooked-how-to-build-habit-forming-products-with-nir-eyal - This is the next master class, and it’s about building habit-forming products. Have you bought your slot yet? I have and am excited about learning.

We can then have a meaningful discussion at our hangout.

What do you think?

Thank you for your response, @Alzargani. I am excited too. I am proposing that we discuss β€œDesigning intuitive or habit-forming health AI Systems," or we could look at Uganda’s health information system currently, and talk about the same topic - intuitive or habit-forming interfaces for this particular system in Uganda. Feel free to propose any other topic. Also, propose a central place to meet.

Blessings,

Evelyn

Thank you so much for organizing this meeting. I believe this kind of gathering will greatly strengthen our group and help us grow together. It is important that we collaborate effectively during this meeting and give our best efforts to achieve our goals.

Personally, I am excited about this opportunity, as it will allow me to get to know my colleagues at IxDF better. I am confident that this meeting will not only enhance our teamwork but also pave the way for many successful meetings in the future.

Thank you again for your efforts. One important question remains: where will the meeting take place?
