Event Description

FMX, Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia is Europe's most influential conference for digital entertainment where Art, Technology and Business meet. Every year, artists, specialists, scientists, producers and other key people come to FMX to network and to discuss production issues, exciting technologies and new ways of financing and distribution across the industries with an international audience. High quality experts deliver insightful presentations and Workshops as part of the Conference program, industry professionals introduce their hard - and software products as well as their latest R&D innovations at the Marketplace, top-notch companies scout talent at the Recruiting Hub and international schools present their best projects on the School Campus.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Ministry for Finance and Economic Affairs of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and the MFG Film Funding, taking place in cooperation with VES Visual Effects Society, ACM SIGGRAPH, World Building Institute and Eurographics. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction, hosting the Animation Production Day (APD), a joint venture with the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (ITFS). FMX 2016 takes place April 26-29 in Stuttgart.
