Lynda leads the Semantic Media Interfaces research group at the Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She has worked in both academic and industrial environments on hypertext and human computer interaction projects. In particular, she was involved with the development of the Guide product for PC's and Macintosh, released in 1986. Her research interests include the generation of user-tailored hypermedia presentations based on explicit underlying semantics and document models for hypermedia and synchronized multimedia on the Web (SMIL).
