Eileen (Ritchie) Cravedi has been the Access Services Librarian since July 2000 at the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA. In this position she directly supervises seven full-time staff members, and indirectly supervises 10 part-time as well as between 40-60 student workers. Overall, she has worked in libraries for over 15 years.
Prior to working at Holy Cross she worked in private industry as a software developer for a medical software company and for a content management system. She also worked as Human Factors and Medicine Specialist for the Center for Applied Medical Informatics at the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies of Michigan State University. During this time she concentrated on usability issues. She has had articles published in the Journal of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, interactions, and Proceedings of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society 40th Annual Meeting. Along with Patty Porcaro, she presented Librarians Using Courseware: What a "Novel" Idea at the 2003 NERCOMP meeting. She is actively involved in the Access Services Interest Group of ACRL NEC.
