Cecilia Katzeff is a senior researcher within the Share Studio at the Interactive Institute, a Swedish research institute engaged in the intersecting domains of art, technology and science. Katzeff is a doctor of psychology and has since the mid 80's been engaged in the psychology of human-computer interaction, both in an academic and in an industrial setting. She has managed projects concerned with promoting the usability of IT-systems, she has developed methods for user-centered design, and she has been actively involved in the design and usability evaluation of IT-systems in organizations. Katzeff has managed the usabality in projects developing user interfaces for clients within the bank and insurance sector. She has held numerous lectures and talks for industry emphasising the importance of usabilty and she has supervised final research projects carried out by undergraduate students.
Cecilia Katzeff's research currently focuses on the design of interactive digital media for adult learning in organisational contexts. This focus includes learner-centered design, designing for individual differences in learning, designing for cognitive apprenticeship, designing for playfulness in adult learning and evaluation methodologies of interactive learning media. Katzeff's most recent project focuses on learning in festival and event organisations, where main issues are concerned with learning processes in the transformation of knowledge into innovative products; how to stimulate the organisation's meta-learning; and how to support organisational learning processes with ICT-based artefacts.
