Otjacques, Benoît, Cornil, Maël, Stefas, Mickaël and Feltz, Fernand (2011): Représentation visuelle interactive de l'importance subjective de critères de sélection de données. In: Proceedings of the 2011 Conference of the Association Francophone dInteraction Homme-Machine 2011. p. 11.

This paper studies how to allow a user to specify intuitively the importance of the criteria used to select data. A new graphical component (called sliding query) based on the slide rule metaphor is proposed. A preliminary evaluation has highlighted the potential of this component.

Otjacques, Benoît, Krier, Marc, Feltz, Fernand, Ferring, Dieter and Hoffmann, Martine (2009): Helping older people to manage their social activities at the retirement home. In: Proceedings of the HCI09 Conference on People and Computers XXIII 2009. pp. 375-380.

This paper discusses the early results of the multidisciplinary project TIVIPOL aiming to propose digital technologies to enhance the social life of older people in a retirement home. A prototype combining a tactile color screen, a RFID reader and a ticket printer is described. It allows the older people to manage their participation to the social activities organized by the home staff. A first evaluation has shown the usability as well as the good acceptance of this system.

Otjacques, Benoît, Feltz, Fernand, Halin, Gilles and Bignon, Jean-Claude (2005): Mat'Graph: transformation matricielle de graphe pour visualiser des échanges électroniques. In: Proceedings of the 2005 Conference of the Association Francophone dInteraction Homme-Machine 2005. pp. 43-49.

Graph and matrices are two well-known solutions for representing network data. Each of them presents some advantages and drawbacks. The approach discussed in this paper consists in transforming a graph on the basis of a matrix-based organisation of the visualization space, in order to obtain a new trade-off between the two kinds of representation. This technique, called Mat'Graph, has been used to visualize the e-mail interactions between the members of a construction project.
