with a background in Psychology and Cognitive Science, Brom is experienced in both qualitative and quantitative social research methods and analyses. He has previously worked on two major education research projects. The ESRC-funded ETL project, a national research project exploring undergraduate learning and teaching. The second was local to Coventry University, the evaluation of the 'Learn Online' initiative. Current & developing research: -Educational foundations of 'serious games'. -Consultant researcher for Professor David Jenkins' evaluation of the Teacher Artist Programme, part of a three-year action research process to investigate the possibilities of partnership working within the school curriculum. -Exploration of engineers' conceptualisation of 'truth'. The research will draw upon his experiences on the ETL project. General research interests: * The application and possibilities of Existential Phenomenology. * Ontological questions regarding virtual reality and the nature of online teaching. * Social sciences research methods, particularly the interplay between ontology and epistemology. * Human memory, beliefs, attitudes and attitude change. * N-dimensional space and its mapping/concept mapping. * Cognitive and user-interface ergonomics. rides a clapped-out MZ.
