The Information Architecture Summit is the premier gathering place for information architects and other user experience professionals. Itís grown from a special interest groupís efforts to define an emerging field, to a rich and expanding community of practice, shaping and informing multiple disciplines. You donít have to be an information architect or user experience professional to enjoy the Summit. You simply have to love the art and science of structuring information. The Summit is a community effort: itís sponsored and run by ASIS&T, but couldnít happen without the contributions of hard-working volunteers from IA and like disciplines. To create the program, we rely heavily on the feedback and blind peer review from previous Summit attendees.

But as the novelty of doing business on the Web gives way to demands for basic quality, companies will have to get serious about user experience.
